In August 2021, Lower Saxony’s Minister for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection, Olaf Lies, visited Braunschweig Research Airport. Representatives of the resident companies and research institutions (e.g. DLR, TU Braunschweig, Etamax, OECON, ITS Mobility) took the opportunity to discuss with the minister and his companions how the “Braunschweig Research Airport” location can and should be developed even further and more innovatively. The vision is a “research showcase” and the minister promised support.
